Coffee & Cars is back for ANZAC Weekend — and in the Village, we’re calling it what it is: a car show.

The Matakana Village Car Show brings a curated line-up of classic, vintage, and modern vehicles right into the heart of the Village. Expect beautifully restored classics, head-turning modern machines, great coffee, and that easy Matakana atmosphere — with shops, eateries and the cinema all just steps away.

🚗 Not just for car people

This is an easy morning out for everyone — partners, friends, families and casual browsers included.

While the cars take centre stage, the Village offers plenty to do:

🛍️ Browse boutique shops and artisan stores
☕️ Enjoy brunch, coffee, and sweet treats from local favourites
🎥 Catch a film at the iconic Matakana Cinemas
🌿 Let the kids explore the playground and nearby streams
🚶‍♀️ Wander the Village or nearby river paths
🍷 Make a day of it with nearby vineyards and eateries after the show

☕️ Tip: Even if you’re popping in “just for the cars”, grab your coffee from the Village and make a morning of it.

Coffee & Cars meet (across the road) ☕️🚗

Alongside the Village Car Show, there’s also a Coffee & Cars meet happening across the road in the Matakana School/Public car park. That meet is open to all — bring your pride and joy and join the informal line-up.

Visitor parking is available at the Matakana Community Carpark on Matakana Valley Road, just a short walk into the Village.

❤️ Supporting a great cause

Entry is free, with a gold coin koha encouraged for Coastguard Kawau. Their volunteer crew will be on site raising funds to support vital marine rescue services across more than 6,500 square miles of coastline.
